      Surfcaster's 2016 Reboot!   09/21/2016

Howdy, folks. I know this is way overdue, and the damage is probably already done, but after weeks of working with the database I've finally wiped out all of the spam posts and topics. This was no easy task, considering there were three-quarters of a million bogus posts and nearly three hundred thousand bogus topics. Once a hacker/spammer network finds a vulnerability, they send out automated programs that basically destroy a database like this. Over the past couple weeks I've migrated all of the good data into a more current, secure platform with the hopes that we can somehow rebuild. New member registration is tightened way up, and a third-party spam monitoring service is in place. I've also invested in an awesome new gallery extension,  allowing members to create, manage, and share image galleries. Please give it a try, and let me know if there are any issues. I'm still testing and working out the bugs. Surfcaster's forums were once an amazing resource for everyone to enjoy, and we're hoping it can once again build back up. The main site (non-forums) is pretty banged up, but once the forums are complete my next task is to re-invent that as well. Spread the word. Hope to see a lot of you back! Cheers, Andrew

  2. Maybe you could rig up a stinger hook
  3. Nice
  4. Well redbone, Dont know what reports you have been reading ;) I caught a keeper and a couple shorts. I hooked into many more BIG fish that i lost. Great night on the water. No clouds for most of the night, Awsome stars plus no wind :D it was glass!!! there wasn't as much fish as normal but they were there, along with the fifty other boats  All in all it was a great night.
  5. I DONT CARE I NEED TO GET OUT THERE  To much work, if i get a chance i go!!!!!!!!!
  6. I have caught them on small dead shiners left on the bottom behind a dam. They seem to cruze the weed edges at night so you might want to try that too. Good luck and ive eaten them before and enjoyed very much
  7. B) :D :D I finally can get out for some night fishing joppa. My parents dont like me to go out alone but i got lights up the yingyang and i will probably go shallow anyways. If anyone wants to go meet me there around 11:30-12:00 that would be great. I'll probably be done around 2:30
  8. oh ya nice fish
  9. Dang i gotta get out more :D biggest ive caught on the tubenworm was a 25in  but what the heck it was fun B)
  10. Thanks for the welcome guys
  11. Wow i would do that in a second aslong as i had my trusty rem 870 for the finish. Well i wouldn't feel to good if i couldn't eat it though  Does thresher shark taste good. Are they near or around here? I have seen those bang sticks on an aligator hunting show B) i bet he used one
  12. Thats all hush hush i bet  but i have seen alot of tuna boats going out to.
  13. thanks guys!! Its either a Van stall VS100  or that.
  14. Has anyone tryed this reel out yet? I like the looks and i will use it for plugs and eel and maybe alittle trolling with the tube. What do you guys think?
  15. I went out with a freind of mine to a little quarry that we used to fish when i was little. The whole lake was flooded by like 20ft!!!!!! This lake has to be the weirdest i have ever seen. All the bass are within a inch of each other. I caught like 50 fish that were all in the 8-9inch size(every single one ;)) Does anyone have an idea why this is like this. There is only bass in this lake also nothing else besides one crappy i caugth last year. We have swam this whole pond to see only bass. I think someone stocked it with a strange type of bass. Any idea guys?
