      Surfcaster's 2016 Reboot!   09/21/2016

Howdy, folks. I know this is way overdue, and the damage is probably already done, but after weeks of working with the database I've finally wiped out all of the spam posts and topics. This was no easy task, considering there were three-quarters of a million bogus posts and nearly three hundred thousand bogus topics. Once a hacker/spammer network finds a vulnerability, they send out automated programs that basically destroy a database like this. Over the past couple weeks I've migrated all of the good data into a more current, secure platform with the hopes that we can somehow rebuild. New member registration is tightened way up, and a third-party spam monitoring service is in place. I've also invested in an awesome new gallery extension,  allowing members to create, manage, and share image galleries. Please give it a try, and let me know if there are any issues. I'm still testing and working out the bugs. Surfcaster's forums were once an amazing resource for everyone to enjoy, and we're hoping it can once again build back up. The main site (non-forums) is pretty banged up, but once the forums are complete my next task is to re-invent that as well. Spread the word. Hope to see a lot of you back! Cheers, Andrew

  5. Good stuff,nothing beats topwater!
  6. I've had an amazing early season string of luck, with plenty of 30's, a 41 and a 47 (yep thats POUNDS) then suddenly the action has come to a screeching halt. How's everyone else doing?
  7. Yes they have, the upper bay is showing signs of life also.
  8. The news has been good coming out of SoCo the past couple of weeks, reports of fish to 33" and a confirmed keeper yesterday. Time to wet a line guys!
  9. Just wanted to let everyone know that if your planning on going to the show you can save a few $$ if you order your tickets online by 3/24. More $$$ for plugs!
  10. Tickets for the RI show are dicounted if you order them online before 3/24, $3.00 off the regular price. Should be an awesome show!
  11. Sorry it took so long to post, things have quieted down quite a bit since this cold weather rolled in.I'm still hearing of occassional schoolie action around providence but really nothing else to speak of. Time to make some plugs...
  12. Nice! I made a few in blurple, got 'em hangin now...
  13. No doubt the "D" needs to be on top of their game, dillon and maroney and faulk need to run hard so brady isn't forced into throwing on 3rd down.I think they've done a good job limiting turnovers in the last couple games.A little side note, i heard on the news tonight that the chargers instructed ticket agents not to sell tickets to people outside of so cal ,belichicks response was "seriously?" then went on to say "i'm not involved with ticket sales i'm here to coach a team"..The shocked look on his face was priceless
  14. What do you think the pats need to do to win in sd? Besides stopping tomlinson.
  15. Ok It isn't over, this warm weather has kept decent sized fish in the bay, keepers mixed in with LOTS of schoolies. Also heard from a friend in SoCo that fish to 30" were blitzing the beaches! I could get used to this "neverending" season stuff. Dan
