      Surfcaster's 2016 Reboot!   09/21/2016

Howdy, folks. I know this is way overdue, and the damage is probably already done, but after weeks of working with the database I've finally wiped out all of the spam posts and topics. This was no easy task, considering there were three-quarters of a million bogus posts and nearly three hundred thousand bogus topics. Once a hacker/spammer network finds a vulnerability, they send out automated programs that basically destroy a database like this. Over the past couple weeks I've migrated all of the good data into a more current, secure platform with the hopes that we can somehow rebuild. New member registration is tightened way up, and a third-party spam monitoring service is in place. I've also invested in an awesome new gallery extension,  allowing members to create, manage, and share image galleries. Please give it a try, and let me know if there are any issues. I'm still testing and working out the bugs. Surfcaster's forums were once an amazing resource for everyone to enjoy, and we're hoping it can once again build back up. The main site (non-forums) is pretty banged up, but once the forums are complete my next task is to re-invent that as well. Spread the word. Hope to see a lot of you back! Cheers, Andrew

  1. That site is "gay" to mac users.
  2. Yes it's me you donkey. I'll beat your 5'6" 140 poundass up and down the Lynnway. this is an old picture i've got less hair now.
  3. I dont know Plymouth that well, but I am sure it is like all the other areas. SO... find a dock with lights that shine on the water the night before you go (im sure there are several) or run over there quickly during the day on your own ( its a lot easier without kids ). Be there just before dark when the lights come on, probably a little before 7 o'clock, and when the bait shows up, so will the little stripers. Put a seaworm and bobber on a small rod and toss it out about 30 feet. I've done this trick, and it works wonders on kids because your not waiting around, the fish take worms pretty quick. Just keep an eye on the little guy, put a life preserver on him because they get very excited when the fish is on. good luck!

  5. I don't come here because this site sucks butt. You guys cry about everything. The site was supposed to help people with fishing info, spots, etc. or so you all claim. Then when some poor bastard who probably only has a few weekends a summer to fish asks where he should go you all whine, complain, and everything else, that they are "lurking" on "your" site. Come on guys, if you want to keep your little secrets to yourselves, why not just email eachother instead of wasting everyones time and space on this butt-sucking site. Don't forget, its ONLY fishing, not brain surgury. And by the way you guys act, there are no brain surgeons on this site. <--(look, sarcasm!!)

  7. I keep everything.
  8. "essential oils"? take it off if you dont like to scrape it off the grill. if i leave skin on i always scale it. scales make for a messy grill.
  9. Ahhh yes but THAT bridge is higher than 10 feet. The OTHER bridge is aout 10 ft higher than the water. I quit bridge fishing for the season now that the beaches are yielding big fish.
  10. You're all wrong, It's on the way to the beach. The only bridge in town (completely).... I think...
  11. $100 !?!?!!!???? I can steal one for free.
