left my house around 10pm didnt get there till 1. you fish on the kennebuck river and what you do is you buy a tide for 6 hours and they give you a little shanty with a wood stove in it. we got a four person shanty and inside theres a 1x5ft hole on each side of it and theres drop lines lines hanging from a rafter right above it. the rig was a #10 hook with a 3 ounce weight above it and theres a little circular float that goes around the line and sits on top of the water and when you see the float start to move around you grab the line and pull it up and theres your fish. the bait was little pieces of seaworms. we filled up a 5 gallon bucket about a third of the way with smelt. the shantys are pretty nice for 45 bucks, they come with wood stoves and you dont need to bring a rod or anything so it worked out pretty good. we ended up buying 2 tides so we stayed for 12 HOURS it was probably the longest time period i ever fished. this was my first time going and my buddies have a tradition when you catch your first fish you have to bite the head off so that was a pretty gruesome experience
