Hey Gang
I have not bothered to get a freshwater license yet.
Though I am thinking about it as I check out the 2010 trout stocking schedule

I've been pretty slow this year to get excited about fishing but maybe if I catch a trout or two I'll get motivated. B)

Hey Surf Rat,
I got a FW license yesterday and went salmon fishing. It wasn't the same, but I got a nice fat 20" salmon to keep the boss happy, and it felt good to get some pullage.

Go for it. I've been trout fishing already and it's a good way to pass time while waiting for the stripers to arrive. Got one today at Horn Pond. :-)

You migh consider getting a license before the bass show up. I've been out several times for trout in the NE region this year and the fish they've put out are nice ones and the meat on the fish have been pink like salmon. Lots of fish in the 15-16'' class with shoulders, fight like hell and great on the grill.

Definitely some good fish this year. I caught an 18 rainbow with a belly shaped like a football must have weighed about 3lbs.Real fun on the fly rod.
