Top Water Plenty of fish around

Fished the outgoing along the beach front Sunday morning - did OK, lost 4 keeper size fish, caught one 34" and had numerous hits. All on Gibbs Pencil (white) on the dropping tide. Need to change over to braid as I believe the ones lost were because of the extra stretch in the mono - don't think I had a good hook set. Gloomy weather is OK by me - plenty of big fish around - can't get out as much as I'd like.
